DSM 102
The machine for the assembly department
<- back to mechanical engineering
Special features of the DSM:
The DSM 102’s simple design and quick operation make it easy to fit components during assembly. The tangential grinding process produces a clean surface and ensures precise parallelism of the flat surfaces. Thickness tolerances of ±0.001 mm can be easily maintained.
The perfect machine for all applications requiring surface grinding with the highest degree of flatness and parallelism for rotationally symmetric machine components. This includes not only spindle bearing spacer rings but also thrust washers for axial roller and needle bearings, rotors for gear pumps, the end faces of spindle noses, parts with stepped flat surfaces, and much more.

Advantages over a surface grinder or cup wheel:
- Tangential grinding with maximum flatness and parallelism
- rotating component
- grinding a stepped flat surface down to a flange
- very easy to use (no advanced sanding skills required)
- fast operation (ideal for grinding the last micrometer)
- low sanding pressure
- dry sanding with dust extraction
- additional clamping options (e.g., collet chuck)
