Precision small machine system for diverse tasks

The KMS small machine system comprises CNC-controlled processing machines for the production of small parts according to customer specifications. Similar to the ESAMAT, the KMS is also built on a modular system. This means the basic framework of the machine can be used for any kind of part production according to customer requirements. Today, several companies—located from Switzerland to Thailand and China—are already working with a ZAMAG small machine system. A number of engraving machines, watch movement plate milling machines, automatic cylinder milling machines, carbide plate grinding machines, dial milling machines, and textile drill grinding machines have already been developed and built.

Execution

Machine base made of welded and filled sheet steel. Machine hood rotatable on the base with two large, round glass doors.

The vertical table consists of a linear stage with cross-roller guides, a pneumatic weight counterbalance, and the clamping block for the main spindle.

The X-Y axis cross table consists of two stacked linear tables with cross-roller bearings. As an option, a fourth and fifth axis (A-B axis), a T-slot plate, or other clamping devices can be mounted.

The modular design principle allows for a wide variety of configurations and equipment options.
